The included acuPillow provides additional relief and acupressure stimulation to the neck and upper back.

  • Back/Neck Pain Relief
  • Shoulder Pain Relief
  • Fibromyalgia and Sciatica Nerve Pain Relief
  • Improved Circulation
  • Headache and Migraine Relief
  • Mat measures 26inx17in

Using your Kenkō Mat:

There are two recommended ways to use the Kenkō Mat:

  1. Simply lay the mat flat on the ground and lay your back on the mat’s plastic stimulators. If you’ve purchased the mat with the pillow included, rest your neck on the pillow after your back has made contact with the mat.
  2. Alternative method: place a rolled towel under the top of the Kenkō Mat where your neck rests before lying on the mat. Doing so adds support to the back and neck, and can enhance the Kenkō Mat’s overall pain-relief effects.

If it’s your first time using the Kenkō Mat, we recommend a 15-minute session to start. First-time Kenkō Mat users may feel strange, or even uncomfortable lying on the plastic stimulators. Any discomfort will subside as the nervous system responds to the stimulator’s effects and pain relief begins (After a few minutes of contact).

Some Kenkō Mat users might also benefit from standing on the mat, applying stimulator pressure to the feet. Such usage mimics the effects of traditional Chinse reflexology, and may assist in pain relief.

Note: The Kenkō Mat’s pain-relief effects are best facilitated by lying on the mat with your bare skin. For some, this may be overwhelming, and a shirt can be worn to reduce sensitivity to the mat’s stimulators.

A fright at first. Now my body craves this mat !

The pressure points are made of a hard plastic that is uncomfortable. Pretty much has remained unused. May return it. Will give it one more try.

The little lotus flower buttons on this mat and pillow were painful at first, but after lying on them for about 15 minutes, a back pain issue that I was dealing with went away. I don't know that this was the only factor in helping me, but it certainly didn't make things worse.

The first minute or so is very intense, approaching pain, but stick it out and you'll be rewarded with a great release of tension. Pillow is nice, but using it at the same time as the mat can lift your shoulders off, which is counterproductive for me. I like to use the pillow and mat separately. My one criticism of this item is its price - what about this is worth $75?
