Directions: There are various ways of tracking a woman’s ovulation cycle and establishing the time when she is most likely to get pregnant. The body, your time® ovulation predictor is based on the visual assessment of dried saliva.
This method is made possible by the fact that during the fertile phase salt content in saliva rises due to an increase in the production of estrogen in the body. The salt crystals present in the dried saliva form a pattern which looks like the leaves of a fern, and is referred to as ‘ferning’. The ferning pattern can be seen most clearly directly before ovulation. During the infertile period, there is a different, pebble-like pattern.
First, remove the green protective cap.
Second, remove the green lens from the casing and clean it with a dust-free cloth. Please do not use tissue.
Third, use your clean finger to take a drop of saliva from under your tongue. Gently dab the saliva on the underside of the green lens cap. Please do not smear the drop. No bubbles or foam should be visible.
Next, allow the saliva to dry. This will take no more than 10 to 15 minutes.
After the saliva has dried, put the green lens cap back into the casing of the your body, your time® ovulation predictor. The device contains a mini-microscope. Then press on the green light switch and the structure of the dried saliva sample will be clearly visible.
If you see a pebble-like pattern which looks like dots and water bubbles, conception is highly unlikely.
If you see small crystals with slight ‘ferning’, ovulation is about to take place. This means that the fertile phase is beginning.
If you see a clear fern-like pattern, you are in the ideal phase for conception.
The saliva method is scientifically proven and provides a safe way of determining the time of ovulation.
If you do not see any clear patterns, it means that the saliva has not yet completely dried. Please wait a few more minutes.
The best time to test is first thing in the morning. You can test any time of the day or night, but avoid testing within three hours of eating, drinking, smoking, or cleaning your teeth. If you follow these instructions, the salt concentration in your saliva at the time of maximum fertility will be very easy to detect. For consistent results, test every day and at the same time of day. Also, remember to chart your results each day.
After each test, clean the dried saliva from the lens using a clean, slightly damp cotton cloth. The fertility test can be used an unlimited number of times. your body, your time® ovulation predictor provides you with a discreet and reliable indicator of your period of maximum fertility.
