The facilities usually house both men and women, and they are located nearby to Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous meetings to ensure that half way house residents can gain access to hands-on treatment while living in a communal setting of individuals who are working toward similar goals.

How do I obtain a Letter of Medical Necessity for a half way house?

Half way houses usually charge monthly rent payments for its residents, but these expenses would not be reimbursable- only the amounts related to addiction treatment would be eligible for reimbursement through a consumer directed healthcare account with  Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) from a medical professional.
